10/16/2012 - Not in focus...

I declined the generous offer of snacks and $15 for a 2800 mile round trip visit to San Diego.  Also had to remind him my name is Michael, not Mike.  Oh, and it has one of those funny confidentiality notices at the bottom which I love so much.

Good Morning Mike,
Joanne, the UCSD study nurse, has told me that you are interested in joining our Focus Group. Below is information you might find useful.
The Focus Group is seeking HIV-uninfected individuals who are willing to provide their suggestions for our upcoming research study.
The research study is designed to use a text-messaging system to remind HIV-uninfected individuals to take their Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), medication that helps protect against HIV infection. We’d like your opinions and suggestions on the functionality and content of this text-messaging system.
Our Focus Group will be meeting on
This Thursday, October 18th
@ 6:00pm (please plan to arrive around 5:45pm)
UCSD HNRC
220 Dickinson St., Suite B
You will be asked to sign a consent before the Focus Group starts, and the meeting will be audio-recorded for our records.
Refreshments will be served and you will be compensated $15 for your time.
Please contact me at 619.543.5011 or at eellorin@ucsd.edu to confirm and/or if you have further questions.
Thanks for your interest, and hope to see you on Thursday!
Best regards,
Eric Ellorin
