subject Information Consortium Recap

Dear All,

We appreciate that it has been a while since our last workshop so this email will serve as a quick recap.

We now have an experienced Project Officer, Jane Mawer who will be leading on some of the Information Strategy workstreams. Specifically Jane will be involved in the Contractural arrangements for the Consortium and the procurement of the Resource Directory tool.

At the last workshop we agreed we would have two sub groups to lead on key elements of the information Consortium which is Communication (promotion of the Consortium to the general public) and Systems Design (how the Consortium will work together, processes and the tools to help it function).

With the latter group Providers are primed to come in and demonstrate to you and other stakeholders the elements of the Resource Directory tool. Jane will liaise with you about this.

With the Communications group our internal Communications team has some difficulty in leading on this work so we will shortly convene a meeting to identify key priorities. Our communications team will participate and support the promotion of the Consortium in the media.

I also wanted to make you aware of the opportunity to bid for an IDeA fund to resource social media and customer insight projects in our area. Ken Clemens (Age Concern) and myself have already discussed the elements of a potential social media bid. We will share this with you in another email. I have been to London to discuss this in an IDeA workshop. There is also an opportunity to put in another bid which potentially could encompass more of a Customer Insight focus. Certainly, in both cases the bids and subsequent projects would be a key benefit for the aspirations of the consortium. Information about these areas will be sent out later today.

Regards,

Paul
